Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the size of each class?
A: The number of students in each class will vary depending on the specific class. To ensure personalized attention, Pole classes will not exceed 14 students. If the event of a unique situation where a Pole class is filled beyond 14 students, the entire class will be notified in advance and each student will be given the opportunity to switch classes. 

Q: Is there an age or weight limit?
A: Our classes are designed for women of all ages, sizes, shapes, and levels but you must be at least 18 to attend any class at Miss Pole.

Q: What do I wear?
A: Whatever you feel comfortable in. You can wear gym clothes and trainers, or hot pants and heels! We recommend you wear pants in level 1 classes and pole parties. As you progress through the levels, you will find that many of the more advanced moves require skin to pole contact. 

Q: What if I show up late? Can I still join in? 
A: You should arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class.

Q: Do I need to sign up in advance or can I just drop in?
A: Classes fill up quickly at Miss Pole, you are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible, to ensure your spot in class. We do accept walk in students if there is an open space.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A. Due to the advanced registration requirements at Miss Pole, we are not typically able to fill last minute vacancies due to cancellations, transfer requests, absences, or no shows. Our policies also consider disruption to fellow students and potential impact to the experiences we provide. Please familiarize yourself with the policies as they are binding when you register for any Miss Pole offerings.

Miss Pole has a registration grace period of 24 hours. In order to cancel your registration within this grace period, you must cancel online. We will process your cancellation and issue your registration refund within seven (7) business days. After the 24 hour grace period, all sales are final and are non-refundable.

Q: What is your class make up policy?
A: Miss Pole will accommodate one make up request when requested prior to the start of your six week class. Requests must be submitted through the comment section of your online registration form or in person at the time of registration. In fairness to all students, due to the disruptive nature of make ups, no exceptions will be made.

Q: Do I need to be able to dance?
A: You can pole dance even if you've never been to a dance class before. We assume that our beginners have no dance experience. You'll learn all the basics

Q: Do I need to be strong and flexible?
A: No - you will build strength and improve flexibility over the course of six weeks. Each of our classes include conditioning and stretching. It doesn't matter if you can't touch your toes or hold your own body weight - we're all here here to improve!

Q: What is burlesque?
A: Burlesque is a fun and sexy form of dance, allowing you to explore your inner vixen in a very lady-like fashion. Our burlesque classes will teach you to tease, tempt and tantalize like an old-school diva.  It's ever so innocent but very sexy. 

Q: Is there a changing room in the studio?
A: There is a changing area at the studio. There are NO showers on premises.

Q: What else should I know?
A: You should NOT wear ANY lotion on your hands or legs the day of class
